Why you should stick with Music Lessons!
Don't get me wrong, there are people who are just not musical! However, you wouldn't believe how many adults tell me they wish they had stuck with it. Why? Because it's something you can enjoy for the rest of your life. Whether by yourself, a jam session, playing at church or semi-professionally, music brings joy, focus and growth to all of us.
With options such as Piano, Guitar, Bass, Uke, Violin, Voice or drums/percussion lessons, you can find your niche. Parents often say "they're not practicing or seem burned out." My reaction is let's try another teacher or instrument.
Now, there are times a student needs a break and shouldn't be forced to continue. Hopefully, those will return to music. The notion of letting kids "try" lessons is great, but don't forget the importance it has on the brain. Especially, while kids are still in school.
By the way, did you know colleges are dying to giveaway music scholarships? Many schools make it easy to have double majors. Piano, Guitar, Bass, Uke, Violin, Voice, Drums. There are many options for music lessons. Instruction in theory and songwriting is also an option.
